Fiesta Eyes: Teal & Purple

Hello beauts!  Alright, so I'm singing the end-of-summer blues, and just simply couldn't bear the season transition so quickly, so here I am with a summery pastel daytime-wearable eye: a minted teal on the lid blended just below the crease, and a slightly punchy pinky-purple concoction of color in the upper crease blended just below the browbone. This is a much more toned-down, less electric, inspired take on the beautiful ChrissyAi's Fairy Floss Makeup. Check her out if you haven't! I just recently discovered her myself.

Might I also add that about 90% of the shadows used for this look are from Coastal Scents. So if you want to replicate this, you can dust off your old Coastal Scents palettes off too, if you have 'em!

Eyes

1) Primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2) Base: Jordana 12-Hour Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in 'Eternal White' applied all over the mobile lid and blended up into the brow bone
3) Waterline: L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeliner Pencil in 'White' applied in the waterline
4) Coastal Scents 88 Color Eyeshadow Palette (shades used according to palette diagram above: '1' was packed and blended onto mobile lid and blended up towards the crease, '2' is a hunter green applied just in the crease layered over shade '1' to give it more definition, NOT extended past where '1' ends. '3' and '4' were mixed together and blended into the upper crease, barely touching the first two shades)
5) Any iridescent blue shade (I used Urban Decay 'Crystal' Eyeshadow from the Book of Shadows Palette Vol. 4) applied in the inner corner and blended upwards slightly to overlay the pink/purple crease.
6) Any brighter, slightly deeper pink eyeshadow to offer a nice gradient on the outer crease overlaying the first pink/purple that were applied, so that the outer crease is darker, transitioning to lighter as it goes inwards. (HINT: You could even use blush for this step!) I used Urban Decay's 'Noise' Eyeshadow from their original Vice Palette, but you could easily use one of the darker pinks in the Coastal Scents palette and it would work perfectly fine. :)
7) L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara in 'Blackest Black' applied to top and bottom lashes
8) Brows & Liner: a light matte brown in the Coastal Scents palette to fill in my brows, and the matte black shadow in the same palette to darken the upper lashline.

Lips

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick

Cheeks

MAC Blush in 'Peony Petal' (limited edition, released in the Tres Cheek collection from this year)

Well, summer, until we meet again... Have an awesome day, everyone!

💋 xoxo-Cailee
