Soft Rose Gold Eyes | Simple Everyday Makeup Tutorial featuring LORAC Unzipped & Makeup Revolution

Soft Rose Gold Eyes | Simple Everyday Makeup Tutorial featuring LORAC Unzipped & Makeup Revolution
Hello, and welcome back!  How are you all today? Since I recently got back to posting to the blog on more of a semi-regular basis (without any of those monthly gaps) I've also been wearing more makeup on a regular basis, including eyeshadow, some lovely high maintenance lip product or another, sheesh....sometimes even bronzer! ;) The overall rosy tones of this neutral look really brighten and liven up the complexion for anyone, I think. It's a very feminine, soft effect, and one that looks beautiful on every skin tone. Whether rose gold tones are paired with a neutral cool mauve or a warm nude lip and cheek, (or even with brighter tones of makeup!) either way, it makes for an all-encompassing elegant combination.

For the eyes, I used my beautiful LORAC Unzipped Palette for the rose gold in the center of the lid, along with my highly coveted Makeup Revolution 32 Flawless Matte Palette for the crease-work. It's a ridiculously simple look to achieve, so the steps to get this eye makeup will be kept pretty succinct, and followed after will be the product breakdown for every product used on mah face. Let's continue!

Rose Gold Eye Makeup How-To

Step 1: I primed my lids, as I do, with the now-discontinued Wet 'n' Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer.
Step 2: Now for the lovely Makeup Revolution 32 Flawless Matte Palette. Isn't it a beauty?

Here are the 2 shades I used: (1) 1st Row, 4th over; (2) 2nd Row, 5th over

Step 2 (cont.): I applied the lighter shade on the first row of this MUR Palette (its shade name is 'Matte') as my transition color, blending and extending it far above the socket of the crease, to just beneath the browbone, and blending it all the way into the inner corner of the crease area.
Then, with the deeper matte rosey brown shade labeled 'Warm' in the second row, I blended it pretty heavily in the outer third of the socket of my crease, and it was blended just slightly above the socket. This shade was then brought into the inner corner of the eyelid and blended just above the socket in the middle of the eyelid to bridge the two ends together.
Step 3: Now, with my beautiful LORAC Unzipped Palette, I took the shade 'Unreal' (the lighter of the 2 rose golds in the palette) and applied it with my ring finger onto the mobile lid for that added intensity! I then took the matte cream highlight shade in the palette named 'Undercover' and applied it to my browbone and inner corners for a soft look.

Step 4: These products were used to line, define, lengthen, and (presumably) volumize, babes! :)
Step 5: I just blended a bit of each of the shadows that were used on the lid, onto the lower lashline for a soft smokey effect.
Voila! The eyes are done!

Note: The second and third pictures in the beginning of this post are me wearing the NYX Lip Liner solo, sans the lipstick and gloss. :) Thought I'd switch up a slightly cooler and a warmer toned lip with the same look.

Tell me, what are your favorite rose gold makeup products?
