FOTD: Autumn Leaves | Glittery Warm Brown Smokey Eye & Neutral Lips

FOTD: Autumn Leaves | Glittery Warm Brown Smokey Eye & Neutral Lips
🎃🎃
Since today is All Hollow's Eve, I decided to go with a spicy, glittery brown smokey eye look today! It looks a bit warmer in person, and I gotta say, I don't really sport the whole costume look in the week leading up to Halloween, or even the day itself, be it a witch, goblin, fairy, a sprite....you name it. I just never really put in any effort to celebrate Halloween, and never really do any crazy costumes or makeup, and I s'pose I'm just keeping that tradition going for this year! I do, however, definitely get into some Lovecraft/Poe horror story mashup reading marathons every year, but eh, it doesn't even have to be close to Halloween for me to do that. 😄 I read spooky and cosmic horror stuff all the time, regardless of the season.

Every autumn, I really enjoy visiting the cider mill and pumpkin patches, seeing the changing of the leaves' colors, and just breathing in the the crisper autumn air makes me elated, as it does many other people. The gradual changing colors of the leaves was where the color palette for the look was inspired, so you will see some beautiful green peeking out from beneath the eyes! Continue on for the products I used to achieve this look!

1) Too Faced Shadow Insurance
2) Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral Matte Palette for that crease-work! (shades used: 3rd shade in the top row for transitional crease shade, 1st shade in the second row, a light warm brown with heavy peach undertones, was applied all throughout the crease, and lastly, the 1st shade in the third row, a richer, deeper warm chocolate brown was applied in the outer corner of the crease.
3) Wet 'n' Wild Walking the Red Carpet Palette (sadly limited edition and no longer available) (shades used: the warm brown Definer shade in the 2nd column was patted with fingers all over the mobile lid for desired impact and opacity, as this shade just doesn't apply the way I want it to with any brush I use, as I just couldn't be bothered with glitter glue; it's a warm reddened brown base with strong gold microglitter, and the only way the glitter really transferred was with finger application, then the glittery gold Eyelid shade in the right column was used as the inner corner highlight)
4) Urban Decay Mildew 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil was used as a green base on the lower lashline, intended to prep it for more intense color
5) MAC Lucky Green Eyeshadow was applied with a pencil brush to set the Mildew eyeliner on the lower lashline. The 24/7 pencil didn't really enhance the intensity of the color of the powder eyeshadow placed above it, as I'm certain that the shadow would've looked the same without that liner underneath. Meh....kinda disappointing.
6) MAC Wholesome Fluidline (not pictured) on the top lashline
7) L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara in 'Blackest Black'

Cheeks

Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon Blush in 'Rose Champagne'
